2 Dandelions Bookshop is bringing heart & soul to it’s Downtown Brighton bookshop
2 Dandelions Bookshop inspires and cultivates a love of reading. Stepping into the shop brings joy to customers. Owners Jeri Kay Thomas and Jeanne Blazo opened Brigthon’s first independent bookstore in Fall of 2019, originally in the lower level of 209 W Main Street. The shop did so well that it moved to a larger, first floor location in 2021.
Here about the fearless founders in their own words:
We are two longtime friends who shared a dream. And just like a dandelion, we have persisted to keep our dream alive. Our dream has become a wish. A wish to scatter happiness and joy through the creation of our very own bookshop. And just like a dandelion, we are feeding minds, hearts and souls with each book sold. Just like the color of a dandelion, yellow represents happiness. That is what we hope to share! We can’t wait to meet you in the bookshop!
2 Dandelions is more than a bookshop, it is a community center for relationship building and knowledge – all with a shared love of books. The owners hope to connect readers and writers and thinkers of all ages through the power of words.

Genres and categories range from new releases and beloved classics, children’s books and educational materials, books on nature, personal improvement, hobbies and more. The shop also features a section of books about Michigan and books by Michigan authors.
